Coaching Position 2011/12

Eltham Cricket Club

The Eltham Cricket Club is inviting expressions of interest for the position of Senior Coach, for the upcoming 2011/12 season.
The Club fields both senior and junior teams (normally 5 seniors & 6 or 7 juniors) in the D.V.C.A.

Round Summary, January/15-23/11.

In a couple of great games of cricket there was not a lot of joy for the club this round. Our Barclay team almost pulled off a great win against Camrea. Defending 150 runs, the Panthers had Camrea on the ropes @ 9/148, but unfortunately didn’t get the points. Great bowling performances all round . . . → Read More: Round Summary, January/15-23/11.

Round Summary 4/5

Round 4 for a/b grades or round 5 for d/f grades, I don’t know, it is all too confusing for me.

From the top, Barclay shield (round 4): Eltham won the toss and elected to bat against Lalor Stars, in a one day 40/40 match at home. Eltham knocked up a respectable total of 9/188. Skips made 94, Davo 25, Cam Lea 19 and Nick Turner 17.

In reply, Lalor made 8/191, but they did not make the total easily, in fact  it went down to the third last ball of the match. Greg Wilson was probably the best of the bowlers with 4/42 off 9.3. I believe the Eltham fielding, particularly catching, let the side down. Some positive signs never the less.
